What makes aluminum a good soffit choice in any climate?

The alloy doesn't rot or warp, no matter the conditions - scorching summer sun or constant freeze-thaw cycles during the winter. The acrylic cap sits on top and absorbs the UV. Color holds for 25 years because in general, soffits get less direct sun exposure. Even after 25 years the color change is hardly noticeable. 

Do aluminum soffits help with ventilation?

Yes. Perforations in the V-groove keep air moving through the cavity. Moisture never has the opportunity to pool in your attic and cause damage.

Can I install the product over an existing soffit?

This varies from project to project. The panels are easy to install using WoodPlank-supplied shoulder screws. We also offer matching J-molds and corner trims to create a clean, finished look around edges, corners, and terminations. You may want to consult a local installation expert to determine the needs for your project, nonetheless.
